Next Steps

Last updated 7 months ago

Let’s start migrating your catalog and deliveries to Labelcamp! Please follow the next steps with guidance from the Labelcamp Support Team.

Import Your Backcatalog

There are two possible methods to import your back-catalog, in order to allow its maintenance (updates, takedowns) on the DSPs from Labelcamp.

API delivery

Please use Labelcamp’s API documentation with the help of our team to manage the upload and validation of your catalog using the API.

DDEX delivery

Please read our DDEX specifications carefully in order to deliver your catalog from your previous delivery partner.

We will:

  1. automatically ingest files onto your distributor account,

  2. report to you any errors (ISRC conflicts, missing elements) so you can fix them,

  3. ask for any necessary mapping or mapping rules between the price codes and genres found in your deliveries, and those set in Labelcamp for your account,

  4. set all your albums as 'Active' (once all the above steps are completed) in order to make them manageable in Labelcamp.

Set up DSP Delivery Feeds

We need to integrate direct delivery feeds with all the DSPs you are working with.

Getting in contact with DSPs

We will help you to get in contact with the DSPs to announce the change from your former delivery partner to Labelcamp in order to obtain the required information for the set-up of your feeds.

We will share the “Feeds Setup Monitoring” sheet to follow up on the progress made in the integration of your feeds.

Send test deliveries

We will send a test delivery to most of the DSPs to ensure that they are ready to receive content from us on your behalf. You can require us to make more tests if / when necessary.

Full catalog redelivery (if required)

Some DSPs may require full redelivery of your back-catalog, followed by a full takedown issued from your former delivery partner. We will guide you throughout the process. We have easy-to-use bulk delivery tools that will help you manage it effectively.

Distribution Rights

When the backcatalog has been successfully imported, it’s time to set rules that define the Rights of your albums, i.e. the authorized DSPs and territories where each album can be delivered.

Example of a rule: WW-US / All DSPs except Apple
See our dedicated Help article to better understand how to manage Rights in Labelcamp.

Please contact the Labelcamp Support Team for more guidance regarding the setup of Rights during the migration.

Mappings of Music Genres and Prices

Some DSPs have their own grids of price codes and music genres. In these cases, in order to ensure the accuracy of prices and genres in your deliveries, you will need to match your own genres and prices with those of the DSPs.

We will provide you with links for each required mapping to complete once all the feeds will be available in Labelcamp.

Import DSP Delivery History

Delivery History

You need to provide us with a spreadsheet that lists all your albums from your backcatalog, along with the DSPs where they are 'live'. We will use this information to create an “online” or “offline” status on each album, for each DSP.

This document can be provided by your former delivery partner (CI, FUGA, SonoSuite, …) or distributor (Believe, The Orchard, etc.)

DSP Catalog Reports

For some of your DSPs, we will need to ingest catalog reports to retrieve and store some additional information such as IDs. We will contact you in due time to get these documents or to import them automatically from the DSPs.
