Album Tags

Free text tags can be applied on any album (i.e. product) in Labelcamp using the dedicated Tag button displayed at the top right corner of the album page.

These tags

• are for internal use only and hence not included in the metadata xml sent to DSPs

• can be viewed only by users from a same user group and users with admin status

• are included in the Album report extract you can generate from your Catalog section

With countless possibilities, the way to use tags to segment your catalog mostly depends on the way you operate as a structure and with your partners. Possible usages include:

• flagging the exclusivity of a product - e.g. a ‘excl.’ tag applied on products that are exclusive to a given DSP to differentiate them from your all-DSPs core catalog

• link the release to a given project or campaign - e.g. all releases, singles included, related to the 1st album campaign of a given artist could be tagged ‘ALB01’

• tag an internal reference number - e.g. add the code of a contract based on your internal classification system

• etc.
