The Overview tab in Trends corresponds to a landing page divided into 4 sections:

Platforms

Displays the total consumption of your catalog over the selected period, along with a stacked area chart and a table breaking down this figure by day and platform.

Sources

Available only when the type of data is set on ‘Streaming’ - breaks down the origin of streams.

  • Library: streams generated from a user library (i.e. favorite tracks, releases or artists).

  • Playlist: streams generated by user and editorial playlists.

  • Radio: streams generated by algorithm-generated evolving tracks enqueuing (algorithm-lead track enqueuing).

  • Artist or Album: streams generated directly from an artist or release page.

  • Search: streams generated directly from the results page of the platform’s search engine.

Users

Available only when the type of data is set on ‘Streaming’ - features the total of unique users that have generated streams on your catalog, the average number of streams generated by unique users and a chart displaying the evolution over the selected period of time.

Release Lifecycle

For the selected type of consumption (with the Type filter) - breaks down the origin of the total consumption figure between

  • New releases: released less than 3 months before the start of the selected period of time

  • Recent releases: released between 3 and 18 months before the start of the selected period of time

  • Back catalog: released more than 18 months before the start of the selected period of time

The default settings on this tab display Streaming-only data sets generated over the past 7 days.
