Service Account
Last updated 16 days ago
A service account is a Labelcamp user flagged as a technical account, used to access the Labelcamp API rather than to work in the web interface.
It lets a partner connect their own systems (catalogue sync, reporting, automation) to Labelcamp with a dedicated login, separate from any person on the team.
We recommend creating a specific account for this purpose, with a dedicated generic email address (e.g. api@client-domain.com).

A service account keeps the rights of its group, but Labelcamp treats it as a machine, not a person.
The main visible effect: it stops receiving user-facing emails such as assets and metadata extracts.
Only distributor admin users can enable or disable this option for other users in the group.
Best practices:
One service account per integration.
Never flag a person's login as a service account, even if they also use the API.
